Why did Whatsapp India blocked it's users?

 Whatsapp India has blocked over 2 million users.

 India being the biggest market for Whatsapp having 400 million users. Whatsapp has said that it blocked those user between May and June, 95% of this user's were blocked because they crossed the limit for message forwarding as per the India's new IT rules. Facebook owned comany also said that it's main focus in India is to do not let user's share unwanted and fake news. The service identify the user as Indian by identifying a number with 91+(number). Whatsapp submissions come when tech companies are embrolled in an intesifying battle with the Indain goverments new IT rules. The new IT rules were announced in Feburary 2021 and were emplied in May 2021 which seek to regulate content in socail media and streaming platforms, and have raised serious concerns about free speech and privacy.
